Having looked at the individual trees in this forest of Jesus’ teaching… lets step back and appreciate the forest one last time. Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, was calling out of the world a unique and distinct community of people that exist to glorify God the Father. If we miss this we miss the point. The Christian life and community exists for God the Father and His glory – God does not exist for us. Our lives are to be about the Father’s NAME, KINGDOM, and WILL… this is the point of Jesus’ message…
