Paul commands us to “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice” (Phil 4:4). Can you command emotions? Can you expect people to change their feelings? Paul gives us himself as an example of exactly this… “I rejoice, yes, I will rejoice!” (Phil 1:18)
