Abraham was used by the Apostle Paul to illustrate that a relationship with God is ONLY EVER on the basis of faith in the person of Jesus Christ! No good works or righteous deeds can ever make one right with God – EVER. BUT… saving faith (Justification) of necessity must lead to a life of obedient faith (Sanctification). And James shows us this aspect of our relationship with God – James 2:14-26!
