John 14:6-11 NASB

⁶Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. ⁷If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” ⁸Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” ⁹Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? ¹⁰Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. ¹¹Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

Sermon from June 28, 2026 by Pastor Bill Walker of Unity Bible Church, Lewiston, ME. This is the 72nd message from our series on The Gospel of John. This message is from John 14:6-11 and was entitled “Jesus:His Beauty and Exclusivity.”
John 14:6 is perhaps the most hated verse in Scripture by our pluralistic culture and it is despised by those who desire a more inclusive, tolerant, and loving Christian faith. Yet, the plain truth that comes from the lips of Jesus Himself… is that Jesus IS the only way into God’s eternal presence! Jesus IS the only reliable truth concerning the Godhead! Jesus IS the only life of God! The literal embodiment of eternal life IS Jesus Christ…
At Unity Bible Church, our vision is to see God glorified through our worship of Him, building up believers, and sharing the Good News of Christ.
